At
Southwest Oil & Gas Services Ltd. we have a good understanding and
appreciation for the importance of safety in the industry. The safety
of our employees, the public, and the facilities owned by the companies
we work for is our number one priority.
Through
our safety committee, scheduled safety meetings, employee training,
daily pre-job orientations, and a day-to-day common sense approach to
the work we do, we maintain a very good safety record and will strive
to do so always.
Southwest
Oil & Gas employs 2 trained safety personal to regulate and monitor
our safety program on an ongoing basis. Minimum safety training for
all staff includes WHIMIS, TDG, First Aid and Ground Disturbance.
Our
health and safety program meets or exceeds the provincial policies and
those of the petroleum and construction industries. We are in the process
of working toward our COR certification.
We
have a strict inspection policy for all our fleet vehicles and equipment,
which meets the standards for Saskatchewan and Alberta. We employ a
full time journeyman mechanic on staff, to ensure units are safe and
ready for work before they leave the shops.
All
Company vehicles are equipped with first aid kits, fire extinguishers,
radios and cell phones. Vehicle and equipment operators are all licensed
and have received the appropriate safety training courses.
